Flavour Three is the tertiary flavor of the Starz television series American Gods. It was renewed for a third season on March 15, 2019 and will consist of ten episodes. Filming began in September 2019 and Product officially began October 9, 2019.
The season premiered on Jan 10, 2021.[2]
On March 29, 2021, Starz announced that the serial was canceled and would not exist returning for a fourth flavour, though the possibility of continuation through either an event series or a TV movie has not been ruled out.[3]

Season Three follows Shadow every bit he attempts to pause away and assert himself as his own man, setting down roots in the idyllic snowy town of Lakeside, WI, where he'll uncover a night secret while exploring questions of his own divinity. Guided on this spiritual journey by the gods of his blackness ancestors, the Orishas, Shadow must decide exactly who he is: a god seeking veneration or a human being in service of the "we." [four]

- Downtown Port Perry, Ontario, Canada serves as a stand-in for the fictional town of "Lakeside" with filming taking place ii or 3 days a month from September to March 2020[xv]

- Orlando Jones decided to make the proclamation himself after receiving hundreds of messages from fans looking forward to his appearance in Flavor Iii[18]
- Co-ordinate to Jones, the decision was up to the new showrunner, Chic Eglee. "All I can say is what I was told. And all what I was told was, 'angry gets shit done' is the incorrect message for black America, and that the new showrunner [Chic Eglee] writes from a black male perspective."[eighteen]

- During an interview with The Knockturnal Yetide Badaki and Bruce Langley explained that season iii was made of a series of self-discovering journeys for the characters, though they all tied up in the end to the greater journey of the over-arching plot in the end. [22]>
