About Us
New Design Inc. was established in 2003 by Raymond Hennig and Richard Kowal to provide homeowners with a one-stop shopping experience for kitchens, baths, and countertops. We found that, too often, homeowners would have to go to multiple companies and contractors to complete a single kitchen or bathroom project. Our goal is simple: We will provide our customers with the best selection of products available for the kitchen and bath and handle all the details, from the design process to managing the installation. After five years in business and having served over 1,000 customers, we had outgrown our first office / showroom and countertop fabrication shop. We purchased our new building and moved operations there in January 2008. The new facility has allowed us to consolidate our showroom, offices, warehouse, and countertop shop under one roof. Our new showroom, although not yet complete, boasts 2,000 square feet of the latest trends and styles from the best manufacturers in the kitchen and bath industry. This move, along with other adjustments to our company, allows us to provide a nearly seamless process for our customers. Our design specialist will meet with you at your home or in our showroom to discuss your ideas and assist you in the selection process. We will generate drawings of your project to help you visualize how your new kitchen or bath will look. Once we have a work order, our project management team will inspect the jobsite, order all materials, and schedule a time for our installers to do the work. We will oversee all the details of the installation so you don't have to. We have a custom shop to modify anything needed on the jobsite and build any laminate tops needed for the project.

The work that was performed in my kitchen is exceptional. The professionalism of every individual that came into my home was just as I had hoped for. The level of work and detail is second to none. Having a designated designer and project manager on my project was a dream. They each were very responsive to my questions, kept me up-to-date, and often stopped by to check on the progress and level of work. I would recommend New Design to everyone and will have reach out to them for future home projects.

We have used New Design twice for remodeling projects. From the designer, project manager, tiler, drywaller, plumber, carpenter, demolition, all expectations were exceeded. New Design provides a worry free remodel. You leave everything in their capable hands and it will be exceptional. We wish they provided more than kitchen and bathroom remodel. We would hire them for everything.

Our journey with New Design was Dec. 4, 2020-Aug. 13, 2021 (nothing to do with covid). We ordered kitchen countertops and backsplashes. Upon initial installation, one worker indicated the backsplashes were not loaded on the truck for some reason (unsure why). Later when the backsplashes were installed, two of the three did not match the design in the counter tops. I contacted Jordan (salesman) re: caulking issues and a couple other things to be redone. I voiced my concern that two of the three backsplashes did not match the countertops. The longest backsplash is the one that would be most noticeable entering the kitchen. He came out and reordered the longest backsplash. On March 18th, Ray left a message for me to call to schedule an installation date for the new backsplash. I left 3 messages for Ray with no return call. I called again, spoke with Angie and explained the situation. She gave me a date of April 7th. When the installer arrived, the piece he brought looked worse than the one we had. On April 8th I called, spoke with Sarah and she indicated I needed to speak with Angie. I did not hear back from Angie. On April 9th @ 5:44 PM, Ray called. He stated he had contacted the company and they may have to come out and look at it. I said fine. On May 24, 2021 a guy from Blasius Inc. came out to assess visual color of the backsplash. Of course, he saw nothing wrong with the backsplash. We were told we could drive to Vassar, the location of the backsplash before another piece was cut for approval. Seriously??, all we wanted is the design we picked out at New Design. The salesman (Jordan) or someone else at their business could have taken the sample at their store to Vassar business because it matched perfectly with our countertops and one of the backsplashes. If there were variances in the design pattern, we should have been told that. They are suppose to be the professionals not us. At that point, we could have decided if we wanted to go with that sample or not. There was nothing done and there was no communication from New Design. On July 23, 2021, I called Angie for some type of resolution. She acted as though she didn't know what to say or do. I finally said discount the price. We discussed a discount and she indicated she would get back with me. With no return call, I called her on Aug. 13, 2021. I asked her for the final bill and told her we would be there to pay it. When we got there, Angie's daughter handed me some papers. I told her I wanted to speak with Angie. She stated Angie was not available. I told her I spoke with Angie and she stated she would be there. She went to the back room and Angie came out a few minutes later. I opened the paperwork she had for us and had her write on it what she had verbally told us about the warranty. We would not do business with New Design again or recommend them.

All aspects from design to the finished dream kitchen New Design was exceptional. Our design consultant Rick put together a plan we could not have imagined ourselves. There contractors from Mike the electrician, Trey does great cabinets, Bennie our tile pro was also the best. Not to forget the best of the best the master of all Tom, carpenter and anything else that needs completion. No project can start with out a great demo team James and Mitch. All this comes together under the watchful eye of John the project manager, A great experience with a great team. Thank You all for making the kitchen fantastic!

This was the BEST experience ever for a remodel. Quality and professional. All workers were skilled and did a wonderful job. We were concerned that this remodel during a pandemic would be fraught with trouble. There was no trouble at all. Everyone was friendly, professional, respectful, and the quality of work was spot-on. New Design is a great company and well work the investment. We not only have a newly remodeled main floor bathroom, but also had an additional bathroom installed in our basement.

I can't express how dissatisfied I am with this company. After doing thousands of dollars of business with them, they offered to repair a garbage for 150.00 an hour. . . I thought maybe I wasn't hearing them correctly. Of course, they said, I could always do it myself.

Everything Jordon promised Travis got done, even with the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. We love our shower, the workmanship is top notch. Everyone who worked on it were polite and had solutions to all questions and challenges. We would definitely recommend New Design Inc. to our friends and neighbors.

All of their workmen were very professional and respectful of our time and space. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to remodel any room in their house. After paying for consultations with two local big box stores, I found New Design through an independent contractor. Their quality was superior, the consultation was free and the price was more reasonable. The remodel was a collaboration from start to finish with my needs and concerns being met every step of the way. I have already recommended the company to a close friend and will continue to do so. The entire experience went very smoothly. I'm glad I found New Design and I love my new dream kitchen!
